Our St. Mary’s Worship Crew are a very friendly and helpful group who are working to inspire and support all of our collective worship and R.E. learning in school. As the new school year starts we will be looking to recruit new members to help us to lead and support our collective worship and ensure that we are developing our understanding of Christian values and spirituality in school.

Last year the worship crew:

• Launched our Christian values and held a coffee morning with parents and governors to decide on the values we needed to prioritise as a school.

   

• Led drama and teaching during our Easter service in church.

   

• Began to take responsibility for parts of our shared collective worship.

   

• Made plans to evaluate and improve our collective worship to meet the needs of the children at our school.

We are very much looking forward to continuing this good work during this year as the worship crew begin to lead more of our assemblies and develop our work on values by ensuring that classes are collecting pebbles to show where the chosen value has been displayed around school.

The worship crew will also be responsible for building more opportunities for prayer in classrooms by developing areas around our school.
