Hello

My name is Anne Mills and I am the Family Support Worker here at St Mary’s Primary School. I have been working with children and families for over 30 years in Sandwell, West Midlands and Worcestershire. 

I have been employed by the school to support our families with parenting and safeguarding.

• I will support, advise and inform families using my extensive experience and agency networking. I will try to help you with your child’s education, health, parenting and wellbeing or support with agency referrals for specialist support with debts, worklessness, relationships or housing. Identifying things that you are worried about and things that are working well with your family. All families have strengths and these are identified when your family is struggling. I can try to provide a network of support using agencies and family/friends. Identifying when life is not going well and asking for some support is the first step to getting a better family life balance. 

• Worcester Children First is the hub where referrals can be made to seek level 2 (low level), level 3 (targeted or multi-agency level need) or level 4 (Social Care Level.) These can be self-referrals or supported by the school.

• At St Mary's we promote a multi-agency approach where the support can be planned and delivered by yourself and professionals when we meet regularly to monitor the improvement in your family/school life.
