At St. Mary’s, we have 16 Key Authors across the school. There are 8 for EYFS and KS1 and 8 for KS2. These are displayed proudly in our Key Author baskets around school as well as in classrooms.

How many of the “Top 100 Children’s Books” have you read?

Our Librarians take these book baskets out onto the playground at lunchtime and breaktime to see if we can tick any more off our list.

This year, we celebrated ‘Reading your Way!’ During the day we:

• Chose to either get dressed up as our favourite book character or get dressed down to stay snuggly in our pj’s ready for a bedtime story.
• Bought in a book to swap with our friends in our book swap.
• Watched a special version of, “Who’s behind the mask?”
