School Council

Everybody is really excited about being back at school. One of the reasons for this is because we get to hold votes for School council.

These votes will be taking place on Friday 11th September and the winners will be revealed in the afternoon assembly.

School Council is a really important role within school and one that is really valued by all the staff and children at St Marys.  Each member of the council represents their class and is the voice for all pupils in school. We wish all the prospective candidates the very best of luck, and check in here on Friday to see who the elected members will be!

Last Year

The School Council did very well and were able to carry the voice of the pupils well. From a survey carried out by the school council, issues that were bothering some of the pupils of St Mary’s were addressed. More equipment was made available during play times. Teachers were able to talk to classes about the importance of not pulling down displays. There has even been plans carried out to remove the ramp and new play area constructed because children reported that were getting fed up watching children climbing on the ramp.
