Welcome to Year 2 and 3 with
Miss Godsil and Mr Cook
Welcome back to the beginning of our final term this year! Please watch our page to keep informed of any events or activities we have planned. If you would like to speak to your child's teacher, we are available from 8:30am each morning and after school every day. We would like to thank you for your continued support throughout this year and look forward to working with you again this term.
About our phase
Mammal phase is made up of children in years 2 and 3 and each class is named after an endangered mammal. Year 2 are called African Giraffes with Miss Godsil and Year 3 are called Mountain Gorillas with Mr Cook. The phase is supported by Mrs Heaselgrave and Miss Mariano.
There are a few changes to our timetable this half term (see below) but school will continue to start at 8:45am and finish at 3:05pm. Please remember that all children are expected to be 'in the line, at quarter to nine'.

Please can we ask that children continue to follow the uniform guidelines of white shirt, tie, red cardigan/jumper, black trousers/skirt, black shoes. Strictly no trainers. Children are also reminded that only simple earring studs and watches are allowed - no other jewellery please.
PE kit should remain in school throughout the half-term and consist of a red t-shirt, black shorts and black pumps. Please ensure all items of clothing are clearly labelled with your child's full name.
Swimming (Year 2 only)
Year 2 will continue their swimming lessons this term on alternative weeks. Please remember to send children to school with a towel and swimming costume/trunks. No jewellery is permitted in the pool and it is advised that your child comes to school without any jewellery on swimming days however if your child wears earrings, please ensure they are removed or covered by a swimming hat.

Year 2 and 3 have thoroughly enjoyed the start of their new topic The Scented Garden and we look forward to continuing this topic throughout the summer term. The children will be exploring plants and herbs using their senses, identifying parts of a plant and growing plants under differing conditions.
